Today on the way home from my baby appointment I was listening to my favorite radio station - KLOVE. This week marks the beginning of their pledge drive and as I listened to the miracle stories pouring forth I was grabbed by one in particular. It was the story of a woman named 'Alva.' Alva is a 53 year-old woman who decided to go to a church service on Easter with her parents. She has been in and out of drugs since she was 13 and for the past 30 years has been the owner and operator of a gay-biker bar. It was at this Easter service that she finally "heard," not with her ears but with her heart, the message of the beautiful Gospel. She accepted the Lord Jesus that morning and that night went to the bar, kicked everyone out and shut the doors with complete conviction. She then took a bus 1500 miles to a Christian recovery facility and checked herself in. Her roommate at the facility called KLOVE shortly after to tell them that Alva spent three weeks walking up and down the halls listening to KLOVE and praying. She went to a recovery meeting one morning with 25 other drug addicts/bikers and gave her testimony. All 25 of them accepted Jesus. That night, Alva died of a massive heart attack. At the funeral, her precious mother told how she had never stopped praying for her daughter. For 40 years she would go on her face before the Lord daily, standing in the gap for her daughter's salvation. God answered her prayers and now the lives of so many others, including me, have been changed by the power of her testimony.
Well, as you can imagine, I was crying like a baby heading up the 80. God is so faithful and His PROMISES ARE FOREVER. His love never fails and He hears us when we pray. I hope you are as blessed as I was by this story. God can save anyone at any time. No one is a lost cause. He never gives up...so if you have been praying for someone that you love for a long time and it seems like nothing will ever change...don't give up! God knows the exact moment that He will open their eyes and ears to His LOVE and FAITHFULNESS to them! He is already there, in that moment! Blessings all,
