Waiting for Isabella :0)

Well, here we are...the count down is on! We are all anxiously awaiting "B-day!" ...and what do you do while you are waiting for the birth of a baby. Of course, you clean, and you paint, and you organize, and you clean some more, and then you dream, dream, dream of the day she'll be born. So, that's basically where we're at in a nutshell.

Now, in between all of that, we have been taking one day at a time. I'm wrapping up school stuff as much as I possibly can at this point. Brian has been dealing with all of the insurance garb from the accident...think that's all pretty settled for now...and the boys are happy to be finishing out the school year. We are all yearning for the warmer days of spring, as they seem to come and go right now here in CA. Rain and snow yesterday, but fairly warm today. The forecast calls for more sunshine through the rest of the week. Please God!!!

We'll be picking up the "new" car on Thursday. That is just a big miracle in itself. I really love it when God just walks you through something and carries you into His will and His plan. We were listening to K-Love on the way to drop oldest of at school this morning and the DJ was talking about how in a storm, chickens will always freak out and try to hide, but the eagle will always face the storm, focus on it, and at the right moment, will allow itself to be carried above the storm and will soar over it. Silas said, "Mom, that's amazing! Eagles are smart." So we had a chat about Isaiah..."They that wait upon the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles." We added...they will soar above the storms of life trusting that their God is in control and will carry them above the ugly clouds and weather, where the skies are blue!"
Wow! I feel like that is what God did for us. He allowed this storm to come, but He has carried us above the ugliness and continues to provide our needs according to His riches!

Other Holbrook news...the room that was once a sage green is now a sweet, soft pink with a white accent wall. Carpet is on order and should arrive within the next couple of weeks. My house is in total disarray and I will be so thankful to be able to put everything in it's place once again. As it stands, there's a bed here, dresser there, boxes, boxes everywhere. Ahhhhhh...it's another lesson in patience ;0)

Mother's Day was restful and sweet. Not a lot of hoopla this year. We stayed in (except for a quick run to Camp Holbrook -the Wrights, to drop off a Mother's day "thank you" to Karen for treating the boys to an incredible day last Friday...the boys said it beat Camp Augusta by miles :0) ...in one day they fished, skateboarded, road horses, biked, drove a tractor, went to a family fun-fest, watched a movie and got to spend the night at their favorite pro-dirt biker's house. What? They had a blast! We love you Wright family!

P.S. 3cm and holding :0)

Hug all!

Gi,

I heard that story on K-Love yesterday morning too. It's funny, because all of a sudden I am hearing SO many interesting facts about the eagle, and they are all applicable to my own life. As a matter of fact, I have already been putting a post together in my mind about it. I finished a book last week that had some WAY COOL stuff about the eagle. I copied the page, cut out the paragraph and gave it to J when we went on a date last weekend. Too much to tell here... but remind me to tell you about it. SO COOL! God is in everything, Gi. That story on K-Love, and the fact that we both heard it yesterday was an awesome reminder of His greatness and power.
