Well, we should have known. The Father always goes before us and He had already set it all up for our Silas. Jim Beechman was the chosen pilot for the Holbrook boys. Not only was he a light-craft pilot, but a retired military fighter and NASA test pilot and he had so much to share with the boys. What a sweet man, hand-picked by Papa to fan the passion of flight in our youngest.
And Silas didn't have to go up alone. All three of them went together. Jim flew them to Foresthill and let them find our house. Silas sat right up front (on two pillows) and got to co-pilot. What an adventure for our crew! As they took off, my heart was so FULL that I cried. Incredible to know that God is in complete control of our children's destinies and yet another reminder of His intention! He is so kind to this mama! When they landed, Jim did the honors of pinning our Young Eagle Pilot, Mr. Silas James. Beautiful, unexpected blessings!

...yup, quite a morning. Someday, Silas will be flying us around. I do believe it!

We're very impressed with this one and celebrate the joy with you! Grampa's so pleased that Silas just may be the one to carry on the love of flying that is in the family! Uncle Gene would be so proud of this grand-nephews!!! WHEEEEEE...
Hugs from here!
